Large-Scale System Development in Several Lisp Environments

چکیده
ROSS |7] is an object-oriented language developed for building knowledge-based simulations [4l. SWIRL |5, 6] is a program written in ROSS that embeds knowledge about defensive and offensive air battle strategies. Given an initial configuration of military forces, SWIRL simulates the resulting air battle. We have implemented ROSS and SWIRL in several different Lisp environments. We report upon this experience by comparing the various environments in terms of cpu usage, real-time usage, and various user aids.

Successful isolation, derivation and culturing of human pluripotent stem cells, including human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) and human induced pluripotent stem (hiPSCs) cells in laboratory scale has opened new horizones for cell therapy applications such as tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. However, most of the cell therapy protocols using these unique cells require large number of ...

متن کاملThe Design and Implementation of a Modern Lisp Dialect
Lisp, invented in 1958 by John McCarthy, revolutionized how programs could be written and expressed. Instead of giving explicit instructions to a computer, Lisp expressed programs as logical operations and functions. Lisp was the first language to incorporate modern language features including: garbage collection, conditionals, first class functions, and recursion. Also, in 1994 Common Lisp bec...
متن کاملA Proposal for a Description Logic Interface
Most description logic (DL) systems present the application programmer with a functional interface, often defined using a Lisp-like syntax. Such interfaces may be more or less complex, depending on the sophistication of the implemented system, and may be more or less compliant with the KRSS description logic specification [8]. The Lisp style of the KRSS syntax reflects the fact that Lisp is sti...
